WOW, what a transformation this future HOT spot is making. 10 years ago Don Mills and Lawrence was boring, dingy and OLD. Now we have fantastic new condo developments and the defining feature: The Shops at Don Mills (www.theshopsatdonmills.ca). Walking through this fantastic new shopping destination was mind blowing. I mean, they have Coach, BCBG, Mexx, Olsen and not to mention the renowned Chef Mr. Mark McEwan has opened up a stunning supermarket with all the luxuries you can handle.

With Condos for as low at $180,000 way up to $700,000 and semi detached homes starting at $340,000 all the way up to $1,500,000 for a detached beauty this neighbourhood has no where to go but UP UP UP! 

For those that are not too familiar with the area, Don Mills actually has quite a significant history for us Torontonians. Believe it or not Don Mills was the first Master Planned Community Canada. A business man by the name of E.P. Taylor envisioned this huge 8.5 square KM area (previously consisted of 20 farms) as a massive community. After 3 years of planning Mr. Taylor revealed his master plan in 1953, the entire project took many years to complete at a cost of over $200,000,000. You'll notice that the style of the original homes follow a specific patern...next tiime you're in the area pay attention to the details of the streets. You'll notice that they all follow the natural grade of the land, flowing nicely up, down and around rather than just building on a straing North, South, East, West grid like most of this city.
